Ontario / Jiangsu (OJS) Programs in China Info Session

The Director of OJS, Dr. Ron Champion, will be there to discuss: Exchange, Summer Research Program, and Summer Language & Food Culture Program. Applicants do not need to know Mandarin as a variety of courses and the summer research placements are offered in English. Students from any field of study can apply for the OJS Summer Research Program and the program will find a supervising professor in China for you (you don’t have to find one yourself).

Info Meeting: GUATEMALA FIELD SCHOOL: Rural Poverty and Social Businesses

Presented by Dr. Kurt Annen, Coordinator Spend 3 weeks learning about Guatemalan culture, history and society.  Develop the conceptual and theoretical knowledge to be able to critically analyze the advantages and disadvantages of social businesses. The program will consist of 5 days of classroom lectures on the Guelph campus followed by two weeks of visits with various communities and social businesses in Guatemala.    Preference will be given to students who are majoring in International Development Studies, but students from other disciplines are also welcome to apply.

Ontario/ India (OIN) Programs in INDIA

Dr. Sukeshi Kamra, OIN Provincial Academic Director, will give a presentation about the OIN programs. Students do not have to have any additional language to participate as all the programs are conducted in English. Applications for the OIN Exchange Program are due to the Centre for International Programs by January 19, 2018.
