- How long is my FOB good for?

All iClass FOB devices remain the property of the University of Guelph and are subject to review for use and may be deactivated by the University. iClass FOB devices expire annually, but may expire sooner depending on length of contract, and are required to be renewed by the authorizing contact person at the University of Guelph through the Physical Resources Electronic Access Group.
- How much does a FOB cost?

At this time, there is no charge for new or replacement iFOBs.
- I no longer need my FOB. What do I do with it?

Please return your FOB to the Electronic Access Team if you no longer require it.

(Between Trent Lane & Powerhouse Lane) - The iClass FOB stopped working, what do I do?

If your FOB device has stopped working, please contact the Electronic Access Group. The following conditions may have occured:
- The FOB has expired and was automatically deactivated by the system
- The access to the specific building no longer applies
- The FOB may be damaged and needs to be replaced
- The FOB was reported missing and has been deactivated by the EA Group

- What do I do if my FOB becomes damaged, is lost, or stolen?

Please contact the Electronic Access Team (eaccess@uoguelph.ca), your Project Coordinator, or Building Access Contact to report a missing/stolen/damaged FOB and request a replacement. Any lost or stolen FOBs will be deactived and cannot be reactivated if they are found. Damaged FOBs must be returned to the Electronic Access Team.
