The Canadian Agricultural Economics Society hosted an awards ceremony in Vancouver to recognize and encourage excellence in agricultural economics and related fields. FARE's own Alan Kerr, Alfons Weesink, Rakhal Sarker, Rachael Vriezen and Tor Tolhurst were all recognized for their achievements.

Jing Yang’s  Master of Science defence took place on Thursday, April 17th, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in Room 107, J.D. MacLaughlin Building.

The title of her presentation is:  “Optimizing Forest Regeneration Decisions Under An Uncertain Future Climate: A Case Study of Black Spruce and White Pine in Ontario.”

Jessica Kelly’s  Master of Science defence took place on Tuesday, April 15th, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. in Room 107, J.D. MacLaughlin Building.

The title of her presentation is: "The Farm Share in Canada from 1997 to 2010: Identifying Trends in Value Distribution Along the Agri-Food Supply Chain.” 

Kristin Benke’s  Master of Science major paper presentation will take place on Friday, April,  11th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Room 319,J.D. MacLaughlin Building.

The title of her presentation is: "The Economic Impact of Incentive Days on Dairy Producer’s Somatic Cell Count in Ontario."
