Nicole Beechey is one of the team members who tied for first place in the Student Case Competition at the 19th annual Food and Agribusiness World Forum and Symposium (IAMA) held in Budapest, Hungary from June 20-23rd.  Nicole is commencing her M.Sc. in the Dept. of FARE in 2009.

Kenneth Poon's M.Sc. Thesis Defence and Final Examination was held on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. in Room 102, J.D. MacLachlan Bldg.  The title of his thesis is "Measuring the Compliance Cost of Nutrient Management Regulations on Ontario Dairy Farms".

Congratulations to Mike Weber a MSc. student in the Department of FARE, under the supervision of Dr. Maury Bredahl who has been approved from the MITACS ACCELERATE Internship Program for a project on "Utilizing Key Performance Indicators to Increase the Production Efficiency of Ontario Cow Calf Operations".

MITACS is providing one‐half of the funding towards internship, with the balance being contributed from your project’s industry partner, Ontario Cattlemen’s Association.  The objective of MITACS ACCELERATE is to provide graduate student researchers with applied research opportunities by enabling them to work with organizations to address real business issues.
