**Updated-No fires allowed on campus**
During the year we will post fire safety violations to educate our community and create awareness around fire safety on campus. Check back often as we will be updating this area when we come across violation across campus. Just a reminder that all extinguishers must be kept accessible at all times. Even this sign is not a good enough reminder.
Just a reminder that there are no fires allowed on campus. An RM found a fire pit behind a student residence. The occupants were informed about the Universities no fire policy and the fire pit was dismantled.
Although hallways may seem like underutalized storage space they are not. Hallways must be kept clear at all times as they are part of your exit path in the event of an evacuation. #foryoursafety
While attending a building for a fire alarm today we came across a lot of storage in the hallway, including a skid which was placed in a doorway. This is a special doorway as the doors close automatically when a fire alarm happens to keep up the fire separations within a building, unfortunately with the skid in the way these doors are unable to perform their job. 
In the event of a fire emergency you will need quick access to pull stations and fire extinguishers. Please ensure that neither of these life saving devices are blocked or inaccessible.
