Thank you to everyone who voted for HTM student, Drew Cumpson’s contest to win a wheelchair accessible van, unfortunately he did not end up as a recipient. A friend of Drew’s has set up a campaign page to raise funds to help the Cumpson’s purchase a van. If you could please help Drew and his family in these hard times, it would be so appreciated.

On Monday April 29th, UGSRP held its ‘Tipped Out?’ forum at George Brown College in Toronto. Speakers at the event included academics, restaurateurs and a member of provincial parliament. The audience of industry members and students was treated to a two-hour passionate discussion about this very controversial subject.
We are delighted to announce that we have received notification from the MTCU that the new Master of Science degree program in Tourism and Hospitality was “Approved to Commence”. The School has received QC and AC Approval Letters for the MSc program in Tourism and Hospitality and GDip (Type 1) in Tourism Studies and GDip (Type 3) in Tourism Research. A hearty congratulations to the school faculty and to all involved in the process.
