rate of 88 per cent and a retention rate of 90 per cent, the University ranks 1st in the nation among comprehensive universities. Fully 90 per cent of undergraduates surveyed say they're satisfied with their academic programs.

Education At A Distance

Award-winning E-Learning programs are just one facet of our overall recognized excellence in alternative learning delivery modes. Guelph has aggressively pursued distance education and web-based technology as part of an overall dedication to supporting lifelong learning. Guelph has a strong distance education program, with over 150 degree credit courses offered and nearly 9,000 course registrations annually. More than 80% of distance education course enrolments are associated with students studying full-time in degree programs. In excess of 70% of these course enrolments are in web-based courses.

Experiential Learning Opportunities

Guelph has a rich and dynamic suite of experiential learning programs, including semesters abroad, co-op placements, and undergraduate research assistantships. Guelph has the 3rd largest co-op program in the province as measured by student enrolments. The new programs to be offered at University of Guelph-Humber will enhance our strength in this area.
