Award-winning E-Learning programs are just one facet of
our overall recognized excellence in alternative learning delivery modes.
Guelph has aggressively pursued distance education and web-based technology
as part of an overall dedication to supporting lifelong learning. Guelph
has a strong distance education program, with over 150 degree credit courses
offered and nearly 9,000 course registrations annually. More than 80%
of distance education course enrolments are associated with students studying
full-time in degree programs. In excess of 70% of these course enrolments are in web-based courses.
Guelph has a rich and dynamic suite of experiential learning
programs, including semesters abroad, co-op placements, and undergraduate
research assistantships. Guelph has the 3rd largest co-op program in the
province as measured by student enrolments. The new programs to be offered
at University of Guelph-Humber will enhance our strength in this area.
