Jose Alfredo Ramirez
Jose is an architect, co-founder and director of Groundlab and Co-Director of the Landscape Urbanism MArch/ MSc Graduate Programme at the Architectural Association (AA), London, UK. His focus is on parametric and digital design in landscape architecture.
Andrea Hansen-Phillips
Andrea is the Co-Founder of Ballistic Architecture Machine (BAM), a creative architectural design office with a focus in landscape architecture, based in China and NYC. Allison was a co-artist with the landscape architect, Martha Schwartz from 2006-2014 and acted as Design Director of Martha Schwartz Inc. from 2006-2008.
Maria Counts
Maria is the Knowledge Manager, specializing in landscape architecture, at global design firm Perkins and Will. Based out of the Miami studio. She is responsible for driving forward the strategy, growth, and knowledge of the firm’s landscape architecture practice. Maria is a recent Van Alen Institute grant recipient for her project, “Sonic City: Visualizing Spaces in Urban Places.”
Allison Dailey

Brad Cantrell
Brad is a landscape architect and scholar whose work focuses on the role of computation and media in environmental and ecological design. He has held academic appointments at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, The Rhode Island School of Design, and the Louisiana State University Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture.
All of these speakers have contributed to the Representing Landscapes book series.
Below is the tentative itinerary:
9:00 am – morning reception (coffee / snacks)
9:30 am- opening/ welcoming remarks by Professor Nadia Amoroso
9:45 am- First speaker- Bradley Cantrell (30 mins, followed by 5 to 10 minutes of questions)
10:30 am- Second speaker- Andrea Hansen-Phillips (30 mins, followed by 5 to 10 minutes of questions)
11:15 am – Third speaker- Jose Alfredo Ramirez (30 mins, followed by 5 to 10 minutes of questions)
12:00 pm- 1:30pm LUNCH and Networking with students
1:30 pm – Fourth speaker- Maria Counts (40 mins, followed by 5 to 10 minutes of questions)
2:30 pm- Fifth speaker- Allison Daily (40 mins, followed by 5 to 10 minutes of questions)
3:30 pm- 4:00pm- Networking session with the students
