Are you passionate about agriculture and agri-food systems, economic and social development, environmental planning and impact assessment, policy and land use planning, or project management and development? The Master of Science in Rural Planning and Development program at the University of Guelph currently accepts applicants from various backgrounds.
Through the program, graduate students will explore the challenges and opportunities faced by rural communities to find approaches, solutions, and processes of change for rural communities. Students can choose to study in either the Canadian or international stream and can choose an emphasis on Community and Social Development, Land Use Planning, Resource and Environment Planning, or Rural Policy. The MSc in Rural Planning and Development offers students the opportunity to complete their degree through course-based studies. Other routes for completion include a thesis or major research paper route.
The application deadline for domestic applicants is May 31, 2025, and the deadline for international applicants is January 15, 2025.
Join us online for the Rural Planning and Development Open House to learn about opportunities for graduate studies in rural planning and development. Explore the Master of Science in Planning (MSc) and the Master of Planning (MPLAN) programs, engage with current faculty and students, and learn more about what makes our masters programs in Rural Planning and Development unique.
Open House sessions will take place:
Wednesday, November 13th, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., and Thursday, November 14th, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.
