2021 Rural Symposium

The Rural Symposium is an annual opportunity for University of Guelph graduate students to showcase their rural research to policy makers, policy analysts, and program staff from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). The event facilitates knowledge mobilisation and network building between graduate students at the University of Guelph, researchers, and OMAFRA . This year's event will be hosted online through Zoom and will profile projects funded through the Ontario Agri-food Innovation Alliance and other OMAFRA supported research.

Deadline for MPlan Applications to Start in Summer 2021

The Rural Planning and Development program is accepting applications for the Master of Planning program to start in January 2021. The Master of Planning is a one-year degree program intended for students with a completed undergraduate degree and 4-5 years of planning and development experience. The program consists of both required and elective courses and concludes with a major research paper.

School of Environmental Design and Rural Development - Landscape Architecture MLA Master's Thesis Examination Joel Sypkes, a master of landscape architecture candidate in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, will defend his thesis on "Engaging Ecologies: A Design Framework for Resilient and Immersive Bioretention Plantings".
