The Rural Planning and Development program is accepting domestic applications for the Master of Science in Rural Planning and Development program to start in September 2021, focused for students with a completed undergraduate degree interested in planning and development. Students are able to focus their program of study in either the Canadian stream or the international stream.

School of Environmental Design and Rural Development - Landscape Architecture MLA Master's Thesis Examination Emma Kirk, a master of landscape architecture candidate in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, will defend her thesis on "Living with Water:  The Potential Urban Ghost Spaces have to Address Flood Mitigation in the GTA".

Cheryl O’Connell, a Doctoral candidate in Rural Studies in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development will defend her thesis on "A Survey Study to Explore Interdisciplinary Trades Education:  Conceptual Framework to Practice". School of Environmental Design and Rural Development - Landscape Architecture MLA Master's Thesis Examination Winona Khuu, a master of landscape architecture candidate in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, will defend her thesis on "Habitat Concept Plan for Parkland Development at 1 Port Street East, Mississauga".

Paige Allen, a master student in Capacity Development and Extension in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, will defend her M.Sc. thesis on "The Social Side of Soils; a Farmer Centred Analysis on the Adoption of Cover Crops".

Renee Goretsky a Doctoral student in Rural Studies in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development will defend her thesis on "Indigenizing Water Governance For Social Justice Development of Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation Water Framework to Indigenize Water Governance within Treaty Lands and Territory".
