Donna Sheppard, a doctoral candidate in Rural Studies - School of Environmental Design and Rural Development will defend her thesis on “ Improving community-based natural resource management practice in West Africa:  Mapping changing spiritual values within belief-based conservation networks in Ghana and Liberia”.

School of Environmental Design and Rural Development - Landscape Architecture MLA Master's Thesis Examination Dominique Madill, a master of landscape architecture candidate in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, will defend her thesis on "Plant and Wind Relationships of Motion". Tracey Harvey, a doctoral candidate in Rural Studies - School of Environmental Design and Rural Development will defend her thesis on “ Weed, Greed and the Need for Reconciliation:  Cannabis Legalization and the Case of the Rural Kootenay, BC Region”

Jeffrey Reichheld, a Doctoral candidate in Rural Studies, School of Environmental Design and Rural Development will be presenting her Qualifying Examination on “Discourses on the land: Understanding the impact of the conflicting discourses of neoliberalism and environmentalism in determining Canadian farmers’ land use decision-making”.
