What We Know: Research and Insight on Guelph Wellington

The Community Engaged Scholarship Institute invites you to explore 50 posters by researchers from community organizations, municipal staff, faculty, students – all presenting ‘what we know’ about Guelph-Wellington. From cats and deer to water usage and food waste, and everything in between, posters will cover a diverse range of topics. Come out to this event to meet the researchers and to learn what amazing work is going on in and about our communities!  Brief opening remarks will begin 1:30pm. Presenters will be available to discuss their posters from 1:30-4pm. 

Reach Ahead Day and Mini Design Charrette

The Landscape Architecture program is hosting a class of 30 high school students from Sir John A. MacDonald Collegiate Institute for a "Reach Ahead" day on Friday, February 24th.  In the morning, Professor Nathan Perkins will be giving a talk about the Landscape Architecture program and what landscape architects do.  In the afternoon, the students will be doing a mini design charrette in the studio. Students will be working on a design project on their school courtyard and we are looking for volunteers to help with everything from design concepts to graphics.

OAC GSC 6th Annual Graduate Colloquium

The Ontario Agriculutral Clollege Graduate Student Council (OAC GSC) is hosting an interdisciplinary conference for graduate students on Thursday, February 16th, 2017. The event will run from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm in the Arboretum Centre and is FREE to attend! Come on out and participate in discussions with graduate students from across the OAC and other departments in the 6th annual OAC-GSC Colloquium. FREE breakfast, lunch, snacks, and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
