SketchUp & 3D Rendering Lecture by Mansoor Ma

SKETCH-UP & 3D Rendering Lecture and Workshop LECTURE Details: Date: Wednesday, February 3rd 11:30 am -12:20 pm Room LA 125 SketchUp started as a casual 3d software which eventually become one of the mainstream 3d modeling software. Together with other plugins, it can be a very important design communication and visualization tool, from grading, sun-shade studies, "What-If" for design decisions, to final presentation, just to name a few.

MLA Thesis Defence - Stephanie Shantz

Landscape Architecture - MLA Master's Examination The final examination for Stephanie Shantz will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11:00 am in Room 143 of the Landscape Architecture building.  The thesis is "Environmental a‎nd Social Conservation Via Strategic Land Cover Reconfiguration, Yields Beneficial Results for Water Quality and Farmers".   Advisor:  Robert Corry; Advisory Committee Member:  Jim Taylor; Chair of Exam:  Robert Brown. SEDRD GSS - Snowman Competition

The first Winter 2016 SEDRD Graduate Student event will be the highly awesome snowman building competition, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm in the LA Courtyard with hot chocolate and sweet treats to follow in LA room 143. There will be prizes awarded for two snowman categories: the most creative and the most impressive! All RPD, MLA, CDE and PhD students welcome!

CBES Lecture by Dr. Heather Mair

On Wednesday, January 13th, 2016 the College of Business and Economics is hosting guest speaker Dr. Heather Mair from the University of Waterloo.  Dr. Mair's seminar is entitled "Tourism as Pedagogy?"   Dr. Mair's seminar is scheduled from 3:30 - 5:00pm in MACS 129. Please note Dr. Mair is currently spending her sabbatical in SEDRD and is housed in LA 144. Also Dr. Mair is a graduate of the Rural Studies PhD program.   Abstract:
