Grief from a loss that is hard to define (i.e. grieving someone who is still alive, the breakdown of a relationship or loss of social connection) or one that lacks closure can be difficult to understand and navigate. This session will help you recognize and acknowledge these losses and find ways to define the loss and create a meaningful narrative.
In this session you will:
- Understand types of ambiguous loss and learn how to validate the feelings and emotions associated with them
- Recognize the grief associated with the impacts of the pandemic, both work-related and personal as they can intertwine
- Learn tools to help create meaningful narratives
- Normalize ambivalence
- Gain knowledge of additional resources and supports in community
