Animal Health Laboratory Kemptville-Reduced staffing due to weather February 23, 2023
To all clients in Eastern Ontario,
Family Day Monday February 20th
Monday February, 20, 2023 is a STAT holiday there will be no testing done at the Animal Health Laboratory.
Specimen Reception at the Animal Health Laboratory - Guelph location will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for receiving specimens and for out-of-hours emergency necropsies only (call first).
The Animal Health Laboratory Kemptville will be closed.
Have a safe and Happy Family Day long weekend from everyone at the Animal Health Laboratory!

AHL will no longer require negative AI result for avian postmortem submissions

To our valued poultry clients:
You are receiving this note as you have submitted avian samples to AHL in the past. As you may be aware, notifications related to H5N1 avian influenza in Ontario have decreased markedly as the fall migration has now concluded. No newly infected commercial poultry premises have been identified since Dec. 21.

Animal Health Lab Kemptville is OPEN but running at reduced staffing today, January 13, 2023, due to inclement weather. Delays in reporting of test results from this location may be expected. University is CLOSED today - AHL is OPEN with limited testing
Dear AHL clients,
University of Guelph is CLOSED today, December 15th 2022, due to severe weather. AHL is open, however delays in reporting of test results may be expected as AHL has only a limited number of essential staff on site to deal with urgent and time-sensitive testing.
