The March 2021 AHL Newsletter is now available

Monday February, 15, 2021 is a STAT holiday there will be no testing done at the Animal Health Laboratory.

Specimen Reception at the Animal Health Laboratory - Guelph location will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for receiving specimens and  for out-of-hours emergency necropsies only (call first).

The Animal Health Laboratory Kemptville will be closed.

Clonality testing is currently unavailable. During this time, please direct any clonality-related questions or inquires to Dr. Rebecca Egan (eganr@uoguelp.ca OR ext. 56712)

January 4th - AHL remains open during the Provincial lockdown.  AHL-Guelph drop off is open from 7PM to 10 PM.

Please note that our sample drop off box and refrigerator is available 7:00am to 10:00 pm in our specimen reception vestibule (AHL Guelph).

Courier Shipping through December

As many of you are aware, courier shipping during the COVID-19 pandemic has been trying at times. Yesterday we were made aware of a backlog in sorting at the local Purolator depot (this affects ALL couriers and is not specific to Purolator). Packages may/will be delayed! With the upcoming US Thanksgiving/Black Friday weekend, Christmas, and online shopping increases we have some recommendations to keep in mind when shipping your specimens to AHL-Guelph.

We hope everyone enjoys this upcoming long weekend. AHL will have no testing available Monday October 12th. Submission drop off at AHL Guelph is available from 7AM to 8PM everyday including Sundays and Holidays. AHL Guelph is open and specimen room staffed on Saturday October 10th from 9AM to 5PM for regular Saturday testing (limited Clinical Pathology and Bacteriology) and emergency Post Mortem submissions and Sunday October 11th and Monday October 12th from 9AM to 5PM for submission drop off and emergency Post Mortem submissions.
