Former Ontario Agri-Tech Pitch competitors get traction with remote veterinary clinic app

Colin Yates and his father, Glen, who has been a mixed practice veterinarian for more than 45 years, have launched VETSon, an artificial intelligence-powered virtual healthcare platform designed to let veterinarians service more clients and give more animal owners access to care.

VETSon is supporting veterinarians to provide service to rural and remote clients without having to be on the farm for every call. The company competed in the 2023 Ontario Agri-Tech Pitch Competition, which is an extension of the Gryphon’s LAAIR Program funded through the Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance, a collaboration between the Government of Ontario and the University of Guelph.
