Researchers at the University of Guelph’s Bioproducts Discovery and Development Centre welcomed Ontario’s Minister of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness Rob Flack to campus last week to hear about the impact of technology developed with funding from the Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance.

BDDC innovates by transforming waste into sustainable biocomposite materials for commercial applications, such as a headlight housings used by Ford Motor Company.

The Government of Ontario recently announced a $7-million investment in U of G research through the Alliance, to support the province’s $48.8 billion agri-food sector.
