Dr. Silvia Sarapura-Escobar, associate professor in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, will be presenting the next One Health Seminar on Braiding Food Systems Project for Food Security and Food Sovereignty

HK5K is back!  The five-kilometre fun run is hosted by the Human Kinetics Student Association and Nutritional and Nutraceutical Sciences Student Association in the University of Guelph's Arboretum. All funds raised go to United Way.

Dr. Shane Bateman, associate professor in the Department of Clinical Studies in OVC, will be presenting the next One Health Seminar on Breaking the Silos: Understanding Violence Through a One Health-One Welfare Lens. 

Dr. Ashwin Patel from Humber College will present "Translating Sport Psychology: Mental Skills for Success in Work and Life." 

Join us on Thursday, September 25th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Arboretum Centre as the Department of Human Health Sciences celebrates the inaugural launch of the Institute for Lifestyle Integration of Food and Exercise (LIFE) by hosting the 1st Institute for LIFE Symposium.

Dr. Korryn Bodner is an assistant professor in Epidemiology and One Health in the Department of Population Medicine at OVC. She holds a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Advanced Epidemiology and Disease Modelling. Bodner completed her PhD in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at the University of Toronto in 2021, where she specialized in the interface between mathematical modelling and disease ecology. Following her doctoral work, she served as a Research Associate at the MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions at Unity Health Toronto from 2021 to 2024.

Dr. Sylvia Cardona is a Professor and the Associate Head (Graduate Affairs) in the Department of Microbiology, University of Manitoba. She will present Innovative Approaches to Small Molecule Antibiotic Discovery, the first guest lecture in the MCB Seminar Series for 2025-26.

The CBS Undergraduate Student Poster Day is open to any and all undergraduate students participating in summer research projects in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Integrative Biology and Human Health and Nutritional Sciences.  Lunch will be provided! Visit the CBS Grads website for a list of poster printing options (scroll to 3/4 of the way down the page). Please allow several business days for printing and processing.
