  • 57% increase from 2022/23
  • 6 countries studied in by CBS students, the top three were:
    1. United Kingdom
    2. Germany

CIP Stats and Information

642 Total U of G Student Participants (5.4% decrease from 22/23): CIP provides pre-departure orientation and emergency response services for all students going abroad.

  • 278 in formal student abroad programs (exchange, field school, and research internships run by CIP)
  • 364 in individual study/research, departmental. and co-op programs

CIP has administered the following external funds in travel grants and research funding this year:

  • Support for faculty members and departments internationalizing their programs
  • Administration of Exchange, and Summer Field School Programs
  • Annual Student Abroad Fair
  • Intercultural competency training
  • Pre-departure orientations
  • Emergency response services 24/7 
  • Negotiating new exchange agreements
  • Administration of Global Affairs Canada scholarships and internships
  • Reception and registration of incoming exchange students
