On Tuesday April 11, 2017, Professor Brady Deaton will testify in front of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food. He will be speaking about contemporary issues facing young and start-up farmers seeking to begin or expand their farm operations, and the associated issue of generational transfer of farms.

One of our first year Master of Science students, Travis Jansen, has been selected as one of ten young farmers to participate in this year’s Successor Development Program, part of Farm Management Canada’s (FMC) Bridging the Gap: Step up to Succession Initiative.
