211 Shift Premiums, All Support Staff

Shift premiums for an employee whose work schedule falls outside of the University's standard hours of operation shall be paid as follows:
- Shifts starting between 1200 hours and 1800 hours shall carry a premium of fifty cents ($.50) per hour.
- Shifts starting between 1800 hours and 0600 hours the next day shall carry a premium of seventy-five cents ($.75) per hour.
- Shifts in which more than fifty per cent (50%) of the time worked falls on Saturday shall carry a premium of fifty-five cents ($.55) per hour.
- Shifts in which more than fifty per cent (50%) of the time worked falls on Sunday shall carry a premium of seventy-five cents ($.75) per hour.
Shift premiums shall not apply where the time worked is paid at the overtime rate.
NOTE: This policy does not apply to part-time employees. Professional and Supervisory employees are not normally eligible for shift premiums, although special circumstances may be taken into consideration.
