Math Kangaroo Contest
The University of Guelph is proud to be a regional host for the
Canadian Math Kangaroo Contest
This competition introduces youth from Grade 1-12 to math challenges in a fun and enjoyable way,
thus inspiring their further interest and advancement in mathematics.

Contest Problems
- Provocative Problems: Math Kangaroo problems are designed to provoke thought and require a great deal of attention and creative thinking.
- Interesting Concepts: Math Kangaroo problems cover a wide range of interesting mathematical concepts, providing a comprehensive learning experience.
- Beauty of Mathematics: Through the Math Kangaroo problems, we aim to show the beauty of mathematics and, thus, increase the appreciation of mathematics.

Welcome to the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Guelph. We are an active and dynamic group of researchers and educators working in a wide range of fields. We are proud to offer both undergraduate and graduate degree programs designed to showcase the uses of mathematics and statistics and help prepare students for careers in Mathematical Science.
