Awarded annually to an outstanding student in each of the five areas of emphasis in the International Development major. Apply by April 1 to the GIDS Awards Committee at ids@uoguelph.ca with a letter (no more than two pages), outlining university and off-campus community service activities in Canada and abroad, to the attention of the "GIDS Awards Committee". These prizes are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and demonstrated service to the community.

Students graduating in June, or who have graduated in the previous fall or winter convocations from the honours Bachelor of Arts program majoring in International Development Studies, with a minimum cumulative average of 80% in the previous two years of study.
