Dr. Jim Mitchell Prize [C2082]

In honour of Dr. Jim Mitchell from Markdale Veterinary Services, the Featherson Charitable Foundation has established this award. Of the five students in VETM*4920 – Equine Stream who have the top weighted average in the Large Animal Internal Medicine I, Large Animal Surgery I and Theriogenology Equine clinical rotations, the student who has demonstrated the most compassion and dedication to their patients, as well as willingness to mentor others, the ability to work well individually and within a team, self-motivation, and the willingness to accept a challenge, during these clinical rotations will receive the award. In the event of a tie, the award will go to the student with the highest standing in Phase 4 of the DVM program.
