In honour of Dr. Jim Bell from Bellbrae Animal Hospital, the Featherson Charitable Foundation has established this award. Of the five students in VETM*4610 – Small Animal Stream who have the top grades in the Small Animal Medicine, Small Animal Surgery, Neurology, and Emergency Medicine & Critical Care clinical rotations, the student who has demonstrated the most compassion and dedication to their patients, as well as willingness to mentor others, the ability to work well individually and within a team, self-motivation, and the willingness to accept a challenge, during these clinical rotations will receive the award. The recipient will be selected by faculty within those rotations for the traits mentioned.
Students who have successfully completed VETM*4610 Small Animal Stream and Phase 4 of the D.V.M. program.
