Inspired by the She’s Got Game movement at the University of Guelph, The Charles D. Bird Women’s Hockey Scholarship highlights the importance of women in sport. Established by University of Guelph alumna Jessica Bird and supported by the Charles D. Bird Charitable Foundation, this $2,000 annual scholarship supports one student-athlete on the women’s varsity hockey team. No application is required. Coaches will nominate a student to the Athletics Awards Committee.
Entering student-athletes who are members of the Gryphon Women’s Hockey team or current members of the Gryphon Women’s Hockey team who have achieved a minimum 70% average or equivalent during the previous academic year as a student-athlete.
