This scholarship was generously created by Nicholas, Taylor, Susan and Perry Dellelce to recognize the long-time commitment to Gryphon Football of their friend Brian Cluff. Brian had a nearly 40-year career with the Gryphons first as a player and then as a coach, during his tenure he contributed to four Yates Cup Championships and one Vanier Cup Championship. Through his continued involvement with the Gryphon football program Brian Cluff continues to be an ambassador and a mentor to team members and recipients of this scholarship. Coaches will nominate students to the Athletic Awards Committee. Selection will be based on extraordinary athletic and leadership qualities.
Entering student-athletes who are members of the Gryphon Football team or current members of the Gryphon Football team who have achieved a minimum 70% average or equivalent during the previous academic year as a student-athlete. Preference will be given to Gryphon football players from Northern Ontario (The City of Greater Sudbury, Algoma District, Cochrane District, Kenora District, Manitoulin District, Nipissing District, Parry Sound District, Rainy River District, Sudbury District, Thunder Bay District, and Timiskaming District).
