Initiated by Michael Barker, BLA ’07 and founding principal of SHIFT Landscape Architecture, with the hopes of encouraging greater diversity in the BLA program, and eventually the industry. SHIFT invests in scholarships, design competitions, writing, and speculative projects to contribute to contemporary issues of environment, social equality and human impact on the planet. Apply by April 15 by submitting the SHIFT Diversity in Landscape Architecture Scholarship application. Selection will be based on highest admission average.
Students entering the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program. Preference will be given in the following order: students who are Black or Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit and Métis) persons; students who are persons of colour/racialized persons.
