A multi-talented Renaissance man, long-serving English Department faculty member Eugene Benson won national and international acclaim not only as a teacher, scholar, editor, and arts administrator, but also as a novelist and librettist. This award recognizes his creative writing achievements as a means of encouraging young Guelph writers to pursue their creative aspirations as passionately as Eugene pursued his. Selection will be based on the highest admission average.
