Established by former Chair of the Board, Shauneen Bruder, B.A. ’80, and her husband Michael Bruder B.A. ’80, this award supports four years of undergraduate education for an international student from Latin America or the Caribbean who is looking to Improve Life while studying at the University of Guelph. Apply by April 1 by submitting the Bruder Scholarship for Latin America & the Caribbean application. Applicants will be asked for a 250-word statement of interest that describes why the program you have applied for is the right fit for your academic goals or a letter of recommendation from the high school. Selection will be based on academic performance through an assessment of the admission application package, and a review of the statement of interest from the student or letter of recommendation from the high school. To receive payments in years 2, 3, and 4 recipients must remain registered in full-time studies and continue to pay the International student tuition and fees. This award will be offered to a new recipient once every 4 years (starting in Fall 2023).
Students paying the International student tuition and fee rates who are entering any degree program from Latin America and the Caribbean. NEXT DEADLINE TO APPLY APRIL 1, 2027.
