This award was established by the Class of OVC 2021 (the Sapphire Snow Leopards) in the final year of their program. The Class of OVC 2021 acknowledges that there are many obstacles faced by racialized students. This bursary is intended to support BIPOC students currently in the DVM program, who experience financial need as one of the barriers to their veterinary education. The OVC 2021 Entrance Bursary was made possible through the generosity of students, alumni and friends of OVC. Apply by October 7th to Student Financial Services with a completed Financial Need Assessment Form (N.A.F) and submit the OVC 2021 Entrance Bursary application. Selection will be based on financial need.
Students registered in Phase 1 of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program who are Black, Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit and Métis) or a person of colour/racialized person, with demonstrated financial need.
