Established to celebrate Canada's Centennial and awarded to a student who has shown leadership in community-based volunteer activities. Volunteer activities undertaken as part of a course requirement is excluded from consideration for this award. Please submit your application by email to mcsaward@uoguelph.ca by May 15 with a summary letter outlining volunteer experience and two reference contacts to the Department of Marketing and Consumer Studies. The recipient will be chosen based on the equal weighting of high academic achievement and leadership in community-based volunteer activities.
Full-time students registered in the BComm. program in a major offered by the Department of Marketing and Consumer Studies who have completed between 10.25 and 15.0 credits by the end of the winter semester in the year of application with a minimum cumulative average of 70%.
