This scholarship is named in honour of Professor Gordon Ashton, a founding member of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. The recipient will be selected on the basis of the highest average in a minimum of 4.0 credits from semesters 3 and 4. A student may be considered for this award only once. This award is not tenable with the Wally Fraser Mathematical Science Scholarship (I0544) or the R.C. Moffatt Memorial Scholarship in Mathematical Science (I0536). Application is not required.
Students who have completed a minimum of 9.0 credits, but no more than 14.5 credits and are registered in a major offered by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
