Established in memory of Professor Peter S. Chisholm to recognize an engineering student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills in the School and/or community. Apply by September 30 to the School of Engineering Awards Committee soe.undergradawards@uoguelph.ca with two reference letters describing the individual and a one-page statement outlining extracurricular activities and involvement on campus, in the School of Engineering, and in the community. Selection will be based on outstanding leadership skills as evidenced by extracurricular activities and/or involvement on campus, at the School of Engineering, or in the community. In addition to the scholarship, award recipients will be given a unique opportunity to connect with the class representatives of this award, who will assist in building Professional Engineering connections, provide career mentorship & networking. If there is a tie, the student with the highest cumulative average will be selected.
Students registered in any major offered by the School of Engineering who have completed a minimum of 10.0 credits, but no more than 16.0, with a minimum 75% average and demonstrated outstanding extra-curricular activity and community involvement. Involvement in engineering-focused clubs or activities will be given preference.
