In memory of Shirley Surgeoner (FACS ’72), friends and family have established the Shirley Surgeoner Memorial Scholarship in which Shirley’s legacy of selflessness and giving will continue. Students apply to Marketing and Consumer Studies Awards Committee by May 15 with a letter outlining their commitment as a volunteer in their community over the last five years, or more. Selection will be based on the applicant’s indicated number of hours, in the past 5 years, to society or community as a volunteer as highlighted in their application letter.
Students registered in a program offered by the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics in a major offered by the Department of Marketing and Consumer Studies who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to their community through volunteer service for at least five years.
