Established by his wife, Joan, and his family, this award was created in memory of "Pickin' Pete" Peter Lindley (OAC '57). Peter was a 5th generation fruit and vegetable grower in the Halton Wentworth Counties, yet still found time to volunteer and stay involved within OAC, and many agricultural initiatives. Because of his outstanding contributions to agriculture, he was inducted to the Ontario Agricultural Hall of Fame in 2015. In the spirit of Peter's leadership – OAC students who are interested in horticulture and demonstrate leadership qualities will be selected. Apply by May15th by submitting the OAC Undergraduate Fall Award Application Form.
Students registered in any program offered by OAC with demonstrated interest in horticulture as evidenced by work experience, involvement, and/or extracurricular activities.
