Alumnus, Mark Bassingthwaite B.Sc.(Eng.) ‘02, established this scholarship to encourage engineering students to understand the impact (both the positive and negative aspects) engineering has on the natural environment. Apply by October 1 to the School of Engineering Awards Committee at soe.undergradawards@uoguelph.ca with a one-page letter that outlines involvement in extra-curricular, volunteer, and/or employment activities in the environmental fields of fish, wildlife, wetland, and watercourse conservation/restoration. Selection will be based on the most significant involvement in the environmental fields of fish, wildlife, wetland, and watercourse conservation/restoration as evidenced by the breadth of extra-curricular, volunteer, and/or employment activities
Students registered in the Water Resources Engineering major or the Environmental Engineering major of the B.Eng. program who have completed a minimum of 4.0 credits and who have demonstrated passion for and commitment to the environmental fields of fish, wildlife, wetland, and watercourse conservation/restoration through extra-curricular, volunteer, and/or employment activities.
