Alumnus, Mark Bassingthwaite B.Sc.(Eng.) ‘02, established this scholarship to encourage engineering students to understand the impact (both the positive and negative aspects) engineering has on the natural environment. Apply by September 30 to the School of Engineering Awards Committee at soe.undergradawards@uoguelph.ca with a one-page letter that outlines involvement in extra-curricular, volunteer, and/or employment activities in the environmental fields of fish, wildlife, wetland, and watercourse conservation/restoration. Selection will be based on the most significant involvement in the environmental fields of fish, wildlife, wetland, and watercourse conservation/restoration as evidenced by the breadth of extra-curricular, volunteer, and/or employment activities
Students registered in the Water Resources Engineering major or the Environmental Engineering major of the B.Eng. program who have completed a minimum of 14.0 credits, and no more than 19.5 credits and who have demonstrated passion for and commitment to the environmental fields of fish, wildlife, wetland, and watercourse conservation/restoration through extra-curricular, volunteer, and/or employment activities.
