Established by the Ontario Eastern Bluebird Society, this prize is named in honour of Betsy Horn with the goal of empowering aspiring student scholars and advancing ornithological knowledge in Ontario. If applicable, apply by April 1 to ibadmin@uoguelph.ca with a letter that provides an overview of your participation in the field of ornithology including but not limited to volunteer, research, extracurriculars or employment. Selection will be based on the highest grade in ZOO*4920. In the event of a tie, selection will be based on the highest cumulative average.
Students from any program offered by the Department of Integrative Biology who completed ZOO*4920 Lab Studies in Ornithology in the previous fall semester. Preference will be given to students who have participated in activities in the field of ornithology including but not limited to volunteer, research, extracurriculars or employment.
