Established by Dr. Agnes Varis, founder and president of Agar Chemicals. The award is provided to the student who has a passion and commitment to advancing education for women including cis and trans women, marginalized genders, non-binary and gender non-conforming people. Selection will be based on the highest grade in SXGN*3010 Experiential Learning in Sexualities and Genders: Transforming Community. In the event of a tie, selection will be based on the highest cumulative average.
Students registered in the Sexualities, Genders, and Social Change (SXGN) major of the B.A. program who completed SXGN*3010 Experiential Learning in Sexualities and Genders: Transforming Community in the previous academic year.
