This award was inspired by the impact Dr. Murdo MacKinnon had on a student in the mid 1960’s. His support of her, a single parent and mature student, ensured she stayed in University to fulfill her dreams and have two successful careers. Apply by October 7 to Student Financial Services with a completed Financial Need Assessment Form (NAF) and submit the Murdo MacKinnon Bursary application. Selection will be based on financial need.
Students who were admitted as a mature student (as defined in the University of Guelph Undergraduate Calendar) who are registered in any degree program, with demonstrated financial need and who are supporting a dependent child or children while completing their degree program. (“Dependent child” includes the child of the student, less than 18 years of age and dependent for support on such student.)
