Established by Humera M Obaid, BASc 1997, this award is a way to pay forward the support that Humera received while she was a student at the University of Guelph. Her generosity will provide encouragement to those who have ambitions to help others through their work in family studies. Apply by October 7 to Student Financial Services with a completed Financial Need Assessment Form (N.A.F.) and if self-identifying as a Black, Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit and Métis), or person of colour/racialized student submit the Humera Obaid Mahmood Bursary application. Selection will be based on financial need.
Students registered in the Family Studies and Human Development major, or the Child Studies major of the B.A.Sc. program, or the Psychology major of the B.A. program with demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to Black, Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit and Métis), or persons of colour/racialized students
