This scholarship was provided by Ms. Leonore Newman, in memory of her father, Dr. L.H. Newman, OAC 1903, and commemorates the work of the late R.B. Whyte and his lifetime devotion to horticulture in Ontario.Selection will be based on the highest combined average in Plant Identification 1 (DHRT*1050), Plant Propagation (DHRT*2200) and Landscape Design 1 (DHRT*2100) courses. Application is not required. In the event of a tie, the student with the highest cumulative average will bel selected.
Students enrolled in the Associate Diploma in Horticulture Program at Ridgetown Campus. Preference given to students from Eastern Ontario including the counties of Prescott and Russell,Stormont, Dundas and Gelnfarry, Lanark, Renfrew, Leeds and Grenville, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington; and the City of Ottawa.
