The Indigenous Graduate Scholarships were established to encourage Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, Métis) students to pursue graduate studies in any discipline. Apply during the Fall, Winter, or Summer semester using The online Indigenous Graduate Scholarship Application Form, is available on the OGPS website and includes a required declaration of Indigenous identity. Applicants must also submit a one page research proprosal and resume/CV via the application form. Two letters of support from academic and/or community-based references must also be sent directly to grschol@uoguelph.ca. Applications will be evaluated on an ongoing basis. Selection will be based on, academic excellence (40%); research potential (40%); intellectual curiosity/critical thinking/passion (20%). Students must maintain satisfactory progress for the duration of the scholarship. This scholarship cannot be held with Indigenous Graduate Scholarship – Leadership E6052, Ontario Graduate Scholarships/QEII-Graduate Scholarships in Science and Technology, Tri-Agency Scholarships, including the Vanier, or Brock Doctoral Scholarship.

Students entering full-time graduate studies or are currently in semesters 1-3 of a full-time graduate program at time of application, who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit or Métis).
