The Walter Sauder Memorial Dairy Research Graduate Scholarship was created by his son Jim Sauder, OAC ‘75, as a tribute to his late father’s career as a dairy farmer and his passion for the dairy industry. Students paying the international student tuition fee rates, apply by April 15 by submitting the OAC International Graduate Application form. Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons of Canada, apply by August 15 by submitting the OAC Graduate Application form. Selection will be based on high academic standing based on the admission package. In the event of a tie, selection will be based on the most significant experience in the dairy industry as demonstrated by volunteer, extracurricular, and/or work. One scholarship will be awarded to a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected persons of Canada. One scholarship will be awarded to a student paying the international student tuition fee rates. If there is no eligible student paying the international student tuition and fee rates, the second scholarship will be awarded to a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected persons of Canada.
Students entering full-time into the course-based Master of Science (MSc) in Animal Biosciences offered by the Ontario Agricultural College with a minimum A- admission average and demonstrated experience in the dairy industry including volunteer, extracurricular, and/or work.
