Established by L. H. Gray & Son Limited – a Canadian leader in egg production and processing. This award recognizes an incoming graduate student with outstanding academic standing, interest in, and aptitude for research in poultry science. Students must have completed an application for admission to a thesis-based Masters or Doctoral program. Apply by June 15 to the Office of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies (OGPS) at grschol@uoguelph.ca with a one-page research proposal, CV, and one letter of reference. Selection will be based on the quality of the research proposal, and academic excellence as demonstrated by publications, conference presentations, and applied field experience.
Full-time students entering in the summer, fall, or winter semester of the award year (i.e. students will be in semesters 1, 2, or 3 at the time the award will be distributed) into a thesis-based Masters or Doctoral program whose proposed research is in poultry science. Preference will be given to students whose research is focused on egg production, processing, and/or nutrition.
