In the first instance, the scholarship will be offered as an entrance award. If no suitable entering student is identified, it will be offered to in-course students; the award may be held up to two times by masters students and up to three times by doctoral students; however, annual re-application is required. If there is no suitable student recipient, the award may be used to support a postdoctoral researcher in one of the eligible research areas. Apply as part of the application process for all OVC graduate awards in January of each year.
Students registered full-time in the Faculty of Graduate Studies and full-time in a department in the Ontario Veterinary College, pursuing research in the human/animal bond, or other research in companion animal welfare, and/or diseases affecting companion animals are eligible.
