Royal Canin’s mission is to transform the health of each cat and dog through precise nutrition, based on science and observation. Founded over 50 years ago by a French veterinarian, Royal Canin passionately shares knowledge and builds strong partnerships with pet professionals. They are proud to partner with Canadian Veterinary schools to advance evidence-based nutrition education and, in turn, enhance the lives of cats and dogs. This award is intended to help support graduate students with a passion for companion animal nutrition in their academic journey. Apply in January during the call for applications for OVC Internal Graduate Awards with a research letter explaining how the specific research improves the lives of companion animals through nutrition. Selection will be based on the greatest evidence-based research and plan to improve companion animals lives through nutrition.
Full-time students registered in a program offered by the Ontario Veterinary College undertaking research in Companion Animal Nutrition. Preference will be given to students with a focus on feline nutrition. In the case of equally qualified candidates, the scholarship will be awarded to the student with the highest research productivity in the area of companion animal nutrition.
