Vectorworks Demo Workshop

Vectorworks will conduct a demo hands-on workshop next Friday, January 12th from 10:15 am to 12:45 pm in the LA Pit.  Mark your calendar! Students are encouraged to bring their laptops and follow the workflow being presented by Tony Kostreski. Download and install Vectorworks beforehand to ensure you are set up before the workshop. Scroll down to Free Licenses for Students and Educators and choose "Get Started."

MLA Thesis Defence: Rachel Pigden

Rachel Pigden, a master of landscape architecture candidate in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, will defend her thesis on " Identification of provincial-scale wildlife-vehicle collision hotspots involving white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus), American black bear (Ursus americanus), and moose (Alces alces) in Nova Scotia, Canada.”

RPD Town Hall Meeting

The Rural Planning and Development program is hosting a town hall meeting with all current RPD students on December 11, 2023 from 12.00-1.00 pm EST. The meeting is an opportunity to check-in, receive program updates, discuss upcoming opportunities, celebrate achievements, and ask your questions. 2023 OALA Holiday Social (Guelph)

The Ontario Association of Landscape Architects Social Committee has announced their annual OALA Holiday Social on Thursday, December 7, from 6:00 -10:00 p.m. at the Real Deal Sports Bar - 224 Victoria Road South in Guelph.  Mix and mingle with great company over drinks and snacks. 

CDE MSc Thesis Defence: Hadis Azizi

School of Environmental Design and Rural Development – Capacity Development and Extension Masters Thesis Examination Hadis Azizi, a master's candidate in Capacity Development and Extension  - School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, will defend her thesis on “ The Global And Local Discourse On Climate Change Misinformation:  The Perspective Based On The Conversations On X (Formerly Known as Twitter) And Iranian Agricultural Advisors.”

Master of Planning Orientation Session

The Rural Planning and Development program is hosting a virtual orientation session for all incoming Master of Planning students starting their studies in January 2024. The orientation will be held on November 21, 2023 from 2.30-3.30 pm EST. The meeting will review the Master of Planning program requirements, course selection, and processes. Incoming students are encouraged to bring any questions about the program, courses, or the the university! Instructions for joining the discussion will be circulated via email in advance of the meeting.
