RPD Town Hall Meeting

The Rural Planning and Development program is hosting a town hall meeting with all current RPD students on January 31, 2024 from 12.00-1.00 pm EST. The meeting is an opportunity to check-in, receive program updates, discuss upcoming opportunities, celebrate achievements, and ask your questions. Instructions for joining the discussion will be circulated via email in advance of the meeting. Please contact Lorena Barker (rpd@uoguelph.ca), if you did not receive the instructions to join.  

MLA Domestic Application Deadline for Fall 2024

The Master of Landscape Architecture program is accepting graduate applications to start the program in September 2024. The application deadline for domestic applicants is January 31, 2024.    The accredited MLA professional degree program involves six semesters of full-time study over three calendar years of fulfilling graduate education in landscape architecture and attracts students from various academic disciplines. 

MLA International Application Deadline for Fall 2024

The Master of Landscape Architecture program is accepting graduate applications to start the program in September 2024. The revised application deadline for international applicants is January 31, 2024, for Fall 2024 entry, (however, we suggest that you submit your complete application well in advance of the deadline) The accredited MLA professional degree program involves six semesters of full-time study over three calendar years of fulfilling graduate education in landscape architecture and attracts students from various academic disciplines. 

MSc RPD International Application Deadline for Fall 2024

The Master of Science (MSc) in Rural Planning and Development is currently accepting applications to start the program in September 2024. The application deadline for international applicants is January 30, 2024. 

MPlan Domestic Application Deadline - Summer 2024 Entry

The Master of Planning (MPlan) program is currently accepting applications to start the program in May 2024. The application deadline for domestic applicants is January 30, 2024. 

Workshop on Working in the Ontario Public Service

The Rural Planning and Development program is hosting a workshop with Scott Duff  (Director of Rural Affairs, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs) to provide an overview of job opportunities within the Ontario Public Service an advice for preparing applications. Vectorworks Demo Workshop

Vectorworks will conduct a demo hands-on workshop next Friday, January 12th from 10:15 am to 12:45 pm in the LA Pit.  Mark your calendar! Students are encouraged to bring their laptops and follow the workflow being presented by Tony Kostreski. Download and install Vectorworks beforehand to ensure you are set up before the workshop. Scroll down to Free Licenses for Students and Educators and choose "Get Started."

MLA Thesis Defence: Rachel Pigden

Rachel Pigden, a master of landscape architecture candidate in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development, will defend her thesis on " Identification of provincial-scale wildlife-vehicle collision hotspots involving white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus), American black bear (Ursus americanus), and moose (Alces alces) in Nova Scotia, Canada.”
