Winner of FHT to Move! Activity Challenge

From September 21st to October 5th, many U of G employees participated in the Guelph Family Health Team's FHT to Move "Hustle for the Harvest" Activity Challenge.  The annual contest celebrates opportunities to be physically active and participants are asked to track their daily exercise.

Congrats to Danica who rose to the top of U of G's Wellness@Work team with the most activity points throughout the challenge!

Survey Update: Taking a Positive Focus Forward

In October 2017, the University launched the Wellness@Work Survey, to identify and better understand factors within the workplace that affect the psychological health and safety of University of Guelph faculty and staff. Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the Wellness@Work Survey.

What have we been up to?

Wellness@Work Consultation Sessions

We want to hear from you!

Wellness@Work is looking for your input on what our strengths and opportunities are for enhancing the physical and psychological health and safety of our staff and faculty.  As we continue following Excellence Canada’s Healthy Workplace Model, we are looking for opportunities to enhance wellness at U of G.

Wellness Bikes Grant Program

These pedal pushers give knowledge mobilization new wheels

Some people are biking to work this week, to help launch the city’s 2018 Bike Month.

But 15 University of Guelph staffers have kicked it up a notch – they’re biking at work.

And in doing so, they’re saving time and pursuing wellness.

Update on Smoke-Free U of G

Dear Colleagues:

Today, we join with people around the globe to recognize World No-Tobacco Day, while also acknowledging the efforts of Indigenous communities to become tobacco-wise and keep tobacco sacred. The World Health Organization has established May 31 as an annual opportunity to draw attention to the negative cardiovascular health effects of smoking.

We would like to take this opportunity to update you on Smoke-Free U of G: the University’s initiative to make the Guelph campus a smoke-free environment.
